Same day is real. Here’s exactly how it works.
Rush covers hems, waist adjustments, sleeve shortening, zip repairs, and fit fixes. The dress you need for tonight, the suit that has to look right by tomorrow morning. That’s what this service is for.
It doesn’t cover dry cleaning or shirt laundry. Those run on a different schedule. Pressing is done here and is included.
Bring the piece in and we’ll look at it with you. The exact time it’ll be ready gets confirmed at the counter, because every job is a little different and we’d rather tell you honestly than guess.

What happens once you walk in.
Here’s what to expect once you walk through the door.

Walk in with it
No appointment needed. Bring the piece, and if it’s a hem, wear the shoes you’ll have on when it matters. That’s the only way to get it right.

We pin it on you
You stand on the fitting platform for ten or fifteen minutes while we work through what needs to move. You can see exactly where it’s going before anything’s been cut.

We give you a pick-up window
Before you leave the counter, we’ll tell you when to come back. You won’t have to guess or check in.

Pick it up your way
Walk in or pull through the drive-thru window. If something’s still not sitting right, bring it back within 30 days and we’ll fix it free.
A few things worth knowing before you come in.
- If you’re hemming pants or shortening a sleeve, bring the shoes or the shirt you actually wear with them. A hem that lands right with the right shoes is the one you’ll stop thinking about.
- Tell us the date you need it when you walk in. That’s the number that matters most, and it’s the first thing we’ll ask.
What we’ll say to you straight.
- Rush covers alterations and pressing. Dry cleaning and shirt laundry run on their own schedule and aren’t part of it.
- Past the cutoff, call us before you drive over. What we can fit that day depends on what’s already on the table, and it changes Monday to Friday. We’ll tell you honestly whether today works.
- Your exact pick-up time is confirmed at the counter when you drop off, not before.
The things people usually ask before they come in.
Can I really get an alteration done the same day?
Yes, on most alterations, if you bring it in before noon Monday through Friday, it’s done that same day. Saturday the cutoff is 11am. Walk in when you’re ready, no appointment needed, and there’s a drive-thru if that’s easier. Carmen has 35 years of sewing behind her and has built her team to work the same way. Drop it off in the morning and it’s done that same day.
What if I miss the same-day cutoff?
It happens. If you miss the noon window on a weekday, a same-day rush is still often possible, even an hour before we close. It depends on what’s already on the table that day, and that changes. Call us at (801) 572-1386 before you drive over and we’ll tell you straight whether we can fit it in. Saturday is different. That cutoff is firm at 11am because we close at 4pm and the work takes the time it takes, so if Saturday is your day, earlier is always the safer call.
Does the Saturday cutoff actually matter, or is that just a soft guideline?
It’s a hard line. Saturday’s cutoff is 11am, not noon, not sometime before lunch. After 11am on a Saturday we can’t promise same-day on alterations, and we close at 4pm. If you’re cutting it close, earlier is always the safer call. We’d rather be honest with you now than hand you a half-finished jacket at 3:58.
What if the alteration isn’t quite right when I pick it up?
Bring it back. Any alteration we did, within 30 days, we’ll redo it at no charge. We’ve been on 12300 South since 2012 and the work is what brings people back. If the fit still isn’t where you wanted it, come in and we’ll sort it out.
Do I need to call ahead or make an appointment?
No appointment needed. Walking in is how most people come, and it works just fine. Just show up with your garment and we’ll take it from there. If you’d feel better calling ahead or arranging a time, you’re welcome to reach us at (801) 572-1386 and we’ll figure something out.
